CFC - CULLER FACER CANCELLER (FLAT TYPE)

All mail items are first accepted by Hopper Feeder. Non-machinable mail items are automatically culled by Culler Section according to their dimensions, thickness and stiffness. After the culling operation, mail items to be processed by Facer Canceller Section are fed to this section one by one.

In Facer Canceller Section, mail items are faced, based on the location of postage, and then cancelled. This facing operation is performed according to the results of postage detection. Methods for postage detection can be designed to meet each customer's postage system. The cancelled mail items are then sorted into stackers in accordance with the categorization preferred by the customer.

Statistical and maintenance information of the CFC operation are gathered and managed by System Console. Interfacing between the Post Office Computer and the CFC can also be carried out via this System Console.
