The PRIM Pattern Recognition & Interface Module is designed for an extension of the consisting serration reader BML3D and serration reader BML3D/VID.

The PRIM unit consists of 4x2 additional scan image data processing channels corresponding to four BML3D or BML3D/VID units expect the opt electrical processing.

The scan image data are provided by the RINT (Real-time Interface) of the PSIM Power & Supply Interface Module. This means by using one PRIM unit in a facer canceller machine equipped with four serration readers or serration readers or serration readers & barcode readers the number of channels for each reader is four (two channels of the BML3D & BML3D/VID and two additional channels inside the PRIM).

The PRIM is equipped with the new barcode reader software.

This multi channel operation on a CFC or FC-machine makes a separation of many different mail categories very easy possible.

All machines interface signals are monitored on the front side of the PRIM unit.
