The PSIM Power Supply & Interface Module realizes all necessary interface functions between the serration readers and the facer canceller machine.

The equipment consists of four major functional units:

Power Supply

The PSIM supplies up to four serration readers and light barriers with 12VDC. A lamp failure is monitored on the front plate of the PSIM.

MINT (Machine Interface)

The MINT concentrates the machine interface signals via a single connector and converts the signal for the FC-machine. The CPU managing the MINT also gives statistic support and offer some test facilities.

SINT (Serial Interface)

Via the SINT communication between all connected units can be done (e.g. for setups). The serration reader units and the MINT are connected permanently. Three interfaces can be chosen individually (terminal, printer).

RINT (Real-time Interface)

The RINT provides the real-time image data of the serration readers for external image processing devices (PRIM Pattern Recognition & Interface Module).
